  1. When I was a kid living here in McMinnville with my family over on Taft Street, my brother brought home a little chick he found abandoned near my Grandma's house in Grand Ronde. He named the chick, Marcia after a neighborhood girl, and Marcia grew up to be a fine, strutting rooster who woke up our small town neighbors with his loud crowing at the crack of dawn every morning.

  2. That's funny, RJ. One of my gals has a "guy" name: Hawkeye ... but it was given in purpose by one of the students who raised her because she was part of a spaceship crew for the alien parade. No crowing, just cackling!
